U.S. News and World Report’s 2021 School Ranking listed all ReGeneration elementary schools among the top ten charter elementary schools in Illinois. ReGeneration expanded to Ohio in 2019, opening its Bond Hill campus in Cincinnati.

We are seeking a full-time Speech and Language Pathologist to support our K-8 elementary campuses.  This individual will help reduce or eliminate speech and language deficits that interfere with a student’s ability to achieve academic success. The Speech and Language Pathologist also works closely with the school principal and specialized services team to determine student's eligibility for special services, appropriate programming, and on-going progress.

  • Demonstrated mastery of content (speech-language pathology), assessment tools, effective intervention strategies, and overall special education process.

  • Belief and alignment with ReGeneration's core beliefs and educational philosophy.

  • 1-3 years of experience in an urban school setting preferred.

  • Can show proof of full vaccination for Covid-19

  • Valid Professional Educator License (IL Type 73) with Speech Language Pathologist endorsement required.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and monitor caseloads and maintains appropriate case records. 
  • Performs all duties required as a member of the specialized services team, and state and federal laws.
  • Plans, prepares, delivers, and monitor effectiveness of services for children with speech and language needs.
  • Screens, evaluates, and identifies children for program recommendations (includes selecting appropriate instruments, administering tests, observations, and writing reports which state the evaluation findings). 
  • Develops and implements Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with school principal, specialized services team, parents, and teachers for pupils who are eligible for speech correction, and identifies students in need of related services.
  • Collaborate with other Related Service Providers to ensure that the IEP team has the best picture of a student's profile. 
  • Provides intervention strategies and uses data to evaluate effectiveness. 
  • Submit records,  IEP progress reports, and assignments by deadlines.  
  • Maintains professional competence through professional development and other professional growth activities.
  • Assumes other related duties as assigned by the Case Manager and Director of Specialized Services.  
  • Implement and enhance the school’s systems and culture.
  • Build professional relationships and collaborate with the school principal, specialize services team, and other school staff to maximize the ability of ReGeneration Schools to support students’ academic and socio-emotional development.
  • May be required to work outside normal workdays and office hours to meet operational deadlines. 
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
